We are looking for new works of fiction written in Italian genre of fantasy or otherwise fantastic content, in any variation of the genre (urban fantasy, heroic fantasy, epic fantasy, sword & sorcery, new weird, slipstream), to create a series of quality literature that collects new items Italian landscape of fantasy.
Participants ask to amaze with environments, characters and situations out of the ordinary, with a captivating style and linguistic experimentation (within the limits of an essential formal correctness): looking for stories that do just the concept of "fantastic", which is given in particular attention to the creation of the "sense of wonder, of environment and atmosphere" of the beyond reality. " Also upset the stereotypes of gender, or abandon it completely (do not miss it) in exchange for new forms of fiction as much as possible away from the ludicrous business models.
HOW TO APPLY:
Article 1: The works must be unpublished and fantasy and of no longer than 18,000 characters (10 typewritten pages). You can enter a maximum of 3 (three) works.
Article 2: Participation in the competition is free.
Article 3: The stories must be sent by mail to info@scriptorama.it in a file. Doc. The works must be accompanied by another document . Doc containing the full identity of the author (name, address, email, phone number) and the following statement: " the undersigned, [name] states, to be the author of the documents submitted in the competition; that the submitted works are unpublished, I have read the full announcement of the Award and who accepts the conditions. I, the undersigned consents to the processing of personal data . "
The secretariat will send an email confirmation of registration in the competition.
Article 4: Each participant will also be posted on the publisher's forum the opening words of his own work (maximum 20 lines) opening un nuovo Argomento nella sezione dedicata “I mondi del fantasy”, secondo la formula [titolo del racconto] – [nome e cognome dell'autore].
Art. 5: Il termine ultimo per partecipare al concorso è fissato al 31 marzo 2011. Farà fede la data di ricezione della mail d'iscrizione.
SELEZIONE DELLE OPERE E GIURIA:
Art. 6: Gli incipit dei racconti pubblicati sul forum saranno visibili e commentabili da tutta la comunità degli utenti, che costituirà la giuria “popolare” del Premio. La giuria tecnica selezionerà, anche grazie ai commenti della giuria popolare, tra tutte le opere pervenute, 25 racconti che saranno pubblicati nell'antologia del concorso "The worlds of fantasy."
Article 7: The Prize Jury will be composed of representatives of the publishing house and agency Scriptorama Limana Humanity and experts from the same individual.
8: The Jury's decisions are final;
PRIZES:
Article 9: The selected authors will receive a publishing contract without regular assistance and their works will be published in the anthology "The worlds of fantasy." The authors of the works selected will be notified by mail before April 30, 2011.
ADDITIONAL CONDITIONS:
10: Participation in the competition implies the acceptance of the present call. La mancanza di una delle condizioni che regolano la validità dell’iscrizione determina l’esclusione dalla partecipazione al Premio Letterario.
Art. 11: Tutela dei dati personali: Ai sensi della legge 31.12.96, n. 675 "Tutela delle persone rispetto al trattamento dei dati personali" la segreteria organizzativa dichiara che il trattamento dei dati dei partecipanti al concorso è finalizzato unicamente alla gestione del Premio e all'invio agli interessati dei bandi delle edizioni successive; dichiara che con l'invio dei materiali letterari partecipanti al concorso l'interessato acconsente al trattamento dei dati personali; dichiara inoltre che l'autore può richiedere la cancellazione, la rettifica o l'aggiornamento dei propri dati rivolgendosi alla segreteria del Premio (Email: info@scriptorama.it ).
