Microsoft Office 2003trial Problem

Yemen, when the hurry is a bad counselor

Il presidente Obama furioso, attaccato dai media conservatori e non, voleva results to be displayed immediately on the news the United States of America.

mistaken identity. Haste, however, is a bad counselor, and yesterday the U.S. and European media have rushed to celebrate the arrest of the 'head of al-Qaeda in Yemen'. Only it was not true, either because the Yemeni authorities have denied today they had arrested Mohammad Ahmed al-Hana and because it is the same as the leader of al-Hana network of Islamic extremists Yemen.
Haste, as mentioned, to score a point in favor of 'fighting terrorism' has confused the cards. Al-Hana, in fact, is the man who commanded the cell that, in recent days, has taken hold of a cargo of arms and explosives, traveling (rather unwisely) on six Yemeni army trucks direct to the troops at the front fighting in Saada Governorate, northern Yemen, against insurgents loyal to Shiite preacher al-Hout. The fundamentalists of al-Hana attacked the convoy and took over the weapons. Crimson Tide to close embassies in Yemen and in the capital, as all were convinced that the load would be used to strike targets in the capital.

performance anxiety. In the early hours after the disappearance of the load the Yemeni army special forces have created a furious manhunt, and within a few hours, they found the gang and have engaged the battle. Two militiamen, January 5, were killed during the operation and three others wounded in the hospital and then guarded. Yesterday, January 6, the spread of news of the capture of Mohammad Ahmed al Hana, head of the group, escaped at first capture.
excellent news for Obama, tomorrow, announced a shocking report which shows that U.S. intelligence had all the information you need to stop Abdulmutallab Umar Farouk, the Nigerian boy on December 24 last year tried to blow himself up on a flight Amsterdam - Detroit.
The website of the U.S. Embassy in Sana'a, promptly reopened, the U.S. State Department congratulated the Yemeni authorities, and even if he could not write it, believed it could better justify the rain of money coming from Washington, but for now has produced mediocre results.

Washington - Sana'a: High Voltage. First evasion in February 2006, 23 inmates from a maximum security prison in the Yemeni capital. Among them, the minds of the attack in October 2000 against the USS Cole destroyer in the U.S. Navy, which killed 17 U.S. sailors. What's more, there are dozens of Guantanamo detainees that come from Yemen and many of those released have returned to their homeland and shipped within a few hours in the ranks of fighters. U.S. President Obama in the election campaign, has made closing the prison at Guantanamo a point of honor for the state of U.S. law. For now, the base is still open, but Obama and his staff already imagine the attacks of the right of the closing of the prison. So
needed a result but what is wrong. As said Mohammad Ahmed al-Hana is not among those captured yesterday and, more importantly, is not the head of al-Qaeda in Yemen.
The real leader, the undisputed king of the net with his fatwas, Anwar al-Awlaki, the man designated by the same Minister of Interior of Yemen as a mentor Abdulmutallab.

The real boss. Al-Awlaki, 38, was born in the United States, New Mexico, where his father taught at the university. After studying as an engineer, was given to religious studies and became one of the most extremist imams. Still he had investigated Nidal Malik Hasan, the officer who massacred 13 people last November 5 in the U.S. military base at Fort Hood.
Al-Awlaki returned to Yemen with his family before returning to the U.S. where he worked as imam in San Diego and surrounding areas. He was arrested once in 1996, on charges of forced prostitution. A dark page in the life of this devout Muslim, or more prosaically, networks of contacts with ordinary crime to finance other activities? At that time, has frequent contact with at least two of the bombers of 11 September 2001. Just after the attack on the Twin Towers to leave forever the States, but not abandoned on a mountain refuge in Pakistan, but in London. The capital of the most important U.S. ally in the world is home for two years, before returning to Yemen. Where he moved, undisturbed, in the province of Shabwa. The U.S., alo Yemen, have given millions of dollars to fight people like Anwar al-Awlaki, but nothing has been done. Obama, in his report upsetting, should explain how it is possible that al-Awlaki has moved, for years, freely. It should do so even if it is very embarrassing to admit that he is the real leader of al-Qaeda in Yemen.

Red Plate Bed Wetting

Interview with Chiara Santoianni, author of "The Diary of Lara"

Chiara Santoianni is a journalist and a teacher who has written several essays, edited the site Chiara's Angels and has recently published ARPANet his first chick lit novel titled The Diary of Lara . Here is what I raccontantato about his book and more ...

- How much of Clare in the character of Lara?
In Lara, me is all ... and nothing! Each author brings certainly a part of himself in his characters and stories that I wrote and I was inspired, for the adventures of Lara, with episodes that I have really happened. However, my main character is very different from me, younger is always in search of a just man (which I, fortunately, I have found) and as a more provocative, though in all his attempts at seduction does not lose its innocence. Although I am far more disenchanted with Lara, she's in me the belief that life can still be some surprises, and - with our commitment - to realize our dreams.

- You are the author of essays, as ever for your first novel you chose the chick-lit genre?
In a sense, was the chick lit genre that has chosen me! In fact, I never thought of writing a novel until I was made the occasion of the competition ChickCult ( www.chickcult.it ) of ARPANet: with this objective, I decided to put black and white female characters that have long been cultivated in me: a girl of today, a little 'clumsy and surreal, which addresses all contingencies with a strong dose of irony. On second thought, I do not think I could write more than chick lit, or at least humorous literature : if I write fiction, is to highlight the funny and absurd aspects of life.

- Lara is practically obsessed with Cosmopolitan, but not always read the advice on his favorite magazine give good results. What do you think of women's magazines?
Yes, "Cosmos" is in a sense, the best friend Lara, his refuge, the universe to deal with. This does not mean that the Cosmoconsigli always lead to success! Actually, I've never been much attracted by women's magazines, at least until a certain age, when I became a diligent reader of your Cosmopolitan, however, that I happened to read since the late '70s and remains the ' only women's magazine that sometimes I buy. I think you have to make a distinction: some magazines, Cosmo in the first place, are certainly rich in ideas and tips useful and sometimes essential, others serve only to spend time at the hairdresser ...

- All women can identify easily into the character of Lara loves shopping, is set in the diet, I love being with her friends and hopes to be realized in the work. But because it is difficult being a woman in a world where things are easy if you are beautiful and cheeky (as Ginger), and the credit is always put in the background?
Even in my life there was a Ginger and I have seen with my own eyes that, for the kind of woman, all doors open magically. But they are also ready to close again just as easily, if behind a pretty face, nice body and often only apparent availability (men like to dream) there's also the commitment and the brain. Lara is not perfect, but we fa, sia pure con molta più fatica di altri.

Esatto. Tutte le figure maschili del libro sono decisamente negative, poiché riflettono i peggiori aspetti del world of men, women, those with which we confront us daily but we often fail to admit. I do not think I ever have a totally positive male universe, but I promise that the sequel will try to be less ruthless!
- A feature of your book is that there are many trips to Paris, London, a cruise in Northern Europe. I guess that places you've seen really. What is the trip for you?
In Paris and London have been many times, the trip on the fjord is still a dream! I was lucky enough to travel anywhere from a young age and this has opened my very the mind, making me to know other realities. Today they are forced to travel less and feel really the lack of more spacious horizons for me travel is especially knowledge and enrichment, but also large natural spaces pristine. In the next novel, Lara will travel again ...

- Lara has also had some experience as a deputy, and has a low opinion of the school, so look for that in every way to avoid returning to teach. Since you're also a teacher, what do you think of school today?
I, like Lara, I have a low opinion of school today, while a beautiful memory of that of time. That, unfortunately, will never return. Today's students are unmanageable, but the fault is not only of modernity with its constant stress: it is easy to blame the playstation, when who should cultivate the boys back home can not or they are apathetic, and who should motivate teachers discourages them, indeed are being pursued.

- Do not anticipate the ending ... but I ask you one thing: money bring happiness?
do not think the money do all happiness, but they can do at least one side. Can be used to achieve a great dream, for example. And always it takes many. If we had money, neither I nor my character would change our way of life, it's simply there we would definitely write to !

What Does Pgh Stand For

Thought year-end interview with Denmark

Letter from Copenhagen Luca Tornatore and other activists still detained nelle carceri danesi dalle giornate del Cop15

Luca Tornatore

La maggiore preoccupazione powerful was the management of energy supply in the context of infinite growth. So it happened, both in the case of over-developed countries, such as the EU or the U.S., both in the case of so-called developing countries such as China or Brazil. On the contrary, hundreds of delegates and thousands of people have pointed out in the streets as the logic of life should be (and in fact is) opposed to that of profit. We have strongly affirmed our determination to put a stop to human pressure on the biosphere. A crisis in the energy paradigm is just around the corner. The mechanism of global governance has proved to be very precarious. The powerful have failed twice. Ecco perché claim that the power may go out to people. We want the power to decide our lives. Above all, we want the power to impose the logic of the commons in life and that of profit. Perhaps this has been declared illegal, but we continue to consider fully legitimate. As in the theater collapsed there remains no real space, we have built our collective strength to take a stand on climate and energy issues. Question which, in our opinion, includes critical issues of global justice, human survival and energy independence. We did get off the street with our corpi.Noi prefer to enter the closed space of the power of dancing and singing. We wanted to do at the Bella Center, per disturbare la sessione assieme a centinaia di delegati. Abbiamo messo a rischio i nostri corpi, tentando di proteggerli solo stringendoci uno all'altro. Non fare nulla, “lasciare che accada”, sarebbe la worst form of complicity with the business who wanted to sabotage the UN meeting. We moved to COP 15 and continue to do so.

Just like love, civil disobedience can not be told. We must do it with our bodies. Otherwise do not really think about what we love and we would love to really not what we think. It 's so simple. It 's a question of love, justice and dignity.
The way they ended the COP15 proof that we were right. Many of us are paying what is unavoidable for a crackdown on obsessive, full and pervasive: the need to find a culprit at all costs or invent it (perhaps along with the crime). We held on charges of course absurd involving violence never happened, conspiracies and organization of actions against the law.
We do not feel guilty for expressing, in thousands, the claim of the independence of our lives by the dictates of profit. If the laws are against this, then it was legitimate to violate them peacefully (albeit vigorously). We are only temporarily detained, ready to sail again with a wind stronger than ever. It 's a question of love, justice and dignity.
