1. IL SIN, REALITY JUST HAPPEN
In our times is found to be against the indifference of the Christian confession. It is one of the signs of the crisis of faith that many are going through. We are moving from a compact religious religious adherence to the past more personal, knowledgeable and confident.
To explain this disaffection with the confession is not enough to bring the fact of the general process of de-Christianization of our society. We must identify the particular and specific causes.
Our confession is often reduced to a mechanical list of sins that highlight only the area of moral experience of the person and does not reach the depths of the soul. ...

confessed sins are always the same, are repeated with maddening monotony of life. And so we no longer see the usefulness and reliability of a sacramental celebration become monotonous and tiresome. The priests themselves sometimes seem to doubt the practical effectiveness of their ministry in the confessional and desert this monotonous and tiring. The poor quality of our practice has its weight in the disaffection with the confession. But underlying everything there is often something even more negative, inadequate or incorrect knowledge of the reality of reconciliation Christian, and a misunderstanding about the true reality of sin and conversion, viewed in the light of faith.
This misconception is largely due to the fact that many believers have only a few childhood memories of catechesis necessarily partial and simplified, furthermore transmitted with a language that is not what our culture.
The sacrament of reconciliation is in itself one of the most difficult and challenging experiences of the life of faith. To this must be presented well to understand it.

12. The Church is a communion

The Church as such has the duty to come together: Church means assembly.
The early church, all-new release from the hands of Christ, was a communion the company of those who came to faith were of one heart and one soul and no one claimed private ownership of his property, but everything was held in common (Acts 4:32).
The Sunday meeting of the Christian community has never been easy.
In the early days much less today, because of the danger, persecution, and also because Sunday was a working day for all Christians who were dependent on a master or slave. And they were the vast majority! ...

The author Letter to the Hebrews writes: We also try to stimulate one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as some have the habit of doing, but instead encourage and warn each other, especially as you can see how the day ( of the Lord) approaches (Hebrews 10:25).
Those who had taken the ' habit of staying at home could have good reasons. They had suffered so much because of their faith.
to recall those early days when, after being enlightened (= baptized), you endured a great and painful struggle, now publicly exposed to insults and hardships, now making you sympathize with those who were treated in this way. For you had compassion on the prisoners, and you joyfully accepted the plundering of your property, knowing that they have the best and most durable goods. So do not abandon your confidence, which has a great reward. All you need is perseverance, because after having done the will of God can achieve the promise (Heb 10.32-36).
Despite this, we must not desert our meetings : the abandonment of the meeting is seen as the first step on the path of apostasy. In the midst of persecution
, s. Ignatius of Antioch (+ 106), and was brought to Rome to die crushed by the teeth of lions writes Ephesians: None mistaken: those who are not in the enclosure of the altar of the bread of God is denied If the prayer of two people acting together has so great an effect, as it will be that of the bishop and the whole Church? Who does not intervene to meeting is already an act of arrogance and self-excommunication .
S. Justin Philosopher and Martyr (+ 165) writes in his First Apology chap. 67: On the day that the sun all agree on the same site, both the city and those in the countryside. And as long as the weather permits you read the memoirs of the apostles or the writings of the prophets, then when the reader has ceased, some chairs and speaks warning urge to imitate so beautiful examples, then we get up and we walk together in prayer, as you said, you have bread, wine, water ...
It makes the distribution and gives each of the deals on which they are celebrating the Thanksgiving (Eucharist =) and are sent to the absent by the deacons.
We all gathered together on the day of the sun, because it is the first day in which God, changing darkness and matter, created the world, and because Jesus Christ our Savior, the same day, from death
resources.
Some say that the pace of modern life, the timing of the industrial world, the hurry and agitation that grips all ... would recommend to dilute the deadlines of the Eucharist, the Mass mandatory, leading to a pace fortnightly, monthly, quarterly, seasonal ...
Who would dare to propose to the workers to skip the holidays and rest, take a day off every fifteen, thirty, ninety, one hundred and twenty days ...?
only to encounter God and neighbor frequencies are too close together?!
The pace of the Eucharist is the breath of the soul, the Christian's life. When a patient pulls his teeth and his breath ever wider intervals mean that approaching the moment of death. If you want to live, you must participate in the Eucharist every Sunday.
There is still the rule? Not we say that there is no longer an obligation of the Mass every Sunday and bank holidays. It is false! The Church can not fail to be himself: that assembly and the Easter feast for those who believe in the Risen Lord and meet him personally in a weekly rhythm inaugurated by him (cf. Jn 20:26).
Priests and parents do not sgravino consciousness so easily and cheaply. I know very well that it is easier to threaten the hell that communicate the faith in the Eucharist and give the taste to take part. Our task is to understand the vital need to create the need for inner children and faithful participate freely according to their law interiore.
Agostino). Voi siete stati chiamati a libertà. Purché questa libertà non diventi un pretesto for the flesh ... (Galatians 5:13-15).
of Christ, in celebration of the Eucharist, it is said: He and offered freely to his passion ... : the same can be said of Christians in this set! Without freedom there is no love. The Mass is the greatest mystery of love: for this requires the utmost freedom.
Going to Mass is a right and a necessity, a joy.
Our last word is a pressing appeal to all leaders and leaders of Christian communities are not afraid to insist, time and time again on the baptized to celebrate the Sunday Eucharist in joy.

11 - The Sacrament of the resurrection

the same day, about 12 km from here, the Risen One celebrates the Eucharist with the disciples of Emmaus. Note carefully the three stages:
- Jesus says the Scripture long, explaining the events of the day, and his word puts the fire in the hearts of the disciples: the liturgy of the word;
- then when he was at table with them he took bread , said the blessing, broke it and gave it to them. Their eyes were opened and they recognized (Luke 24.30-31) Liturgy of the Eucharist;
- Finally, immediately (Luke 24:33), the disciples of Emmaus return back on the road to their disappointment, there's in Jerusalem, telling what happened and how they recognized in the breaking of bread: the liturgy of the life and mission.
the evening of that same day, the first of the week, while the doors were shut where the disciples were for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood among them ... (Jn 20.19-29).
is the first Sunday of the Church and the world! ...
Christ's resurrection from the dead, its manifestation in the assembly of his own, the messianic meal taken by the Risen Lord with his disciples, the gift of the Spirit and the missionary task given to the Church: this is the Christian Passover. This is the central event of salvation history that has forever marked "the first day of the week. "All the mystery that is celebrated on Sunday already on Easter Day, Sunday will not be anything other than the weekly celebration of the paschal mystery (P. Jounel).
the Risen One himself the hand of the young Church to teach this weekly rhythm and the meaning of this day: week later his disciples were again inside, and Thomas was with them. Jesus came, the doors were locked, and stood among them and said, " Peace be with you. "Then he said to Thomas," Put your finger here and see my hands, put out your hand and put it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing " (Jn 20:28 -29).
We are still first day of the week, the Church is present, because he understood that to meet the LORD is in the midst of it, celebrate it with his passion and resurrection: Put your finger here and see my hands , put out your hand and put it in my side . Consolidate, through Thomas, the faith of all and also our: Blessed are those who have not seen and yet believe!
The day of the resurrection of Christ was called dies dominica, day of the Lord, even before the end of the first century, as bears witness the Apocalypse: fell into a trance, the Lord's Day ... (Rev 1:10).
The Acts of the Apostles we have the very first Christians devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and fellowship, the breaking of bread and the prayers (Acts 2:42).
have something to argue our seasonal Christians? The text continues. Anyone who believed were together and had everything in common, who had owned and sold and the substances belonged to all, as any had need.
Day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their houses of food with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were saved
(Acts 2.44 to 48).
not surprising that they enjoyed the sympathy of the whole people.
front of people like a miscreant up my hat!
The joy and simplicity of heart are coveted all the sermons and convert more than snarling.
the way, how long were the sermons of St. Paul?
The first day of the week we had gathered to break bread, Paul talked with them, and because he had to leave the next day, the conversation lasted until midnight ... Then ... broke the bread and ate it and after talking still to dawn, he left (Acts 20.7 to 11). Read the full text.
Giustino + 165).
Non mettete le vostre faccende temporali al di sopra della parola of God, but all abandoned the Lord's Day and run to your hard Churches. Otherwise, what excuse will plead with God, those who do not meet the Lord's Day to hear the word of life and partake of the divine food that endures forever? (Legend of the Apostles, the third century).
What excuse will plead with God? The ancients had little imagination. Request with eighty percent of Italians. They have found it!
says the Vatican Council II: According to the apostolic tradition, which stems from the day of the resurrection of Christ, the Church celebrates the paschal mystery every eighth day, in what is appropriately called the day of Signore o domenica.

Ovaryblog Post A Comment'

10. As I have loved you, so you must love one another

La partecipazione all’eucaristia knows of sacrilege, if there is no concern for the bread of others. I can not commend you for the fact that your meetings are not held for the better, but for the worse. First I hear that when you gather in assembly, there are divisions among you ... When you meet together, your not to eat the Lord's Supper. In fact, everyone involved when the dinner took their first meal and one is hungry and another is drunk. Do you not have houses to eat and drink? Or you want to discredit the Church of God and humiliate those who have nothing? ... Therefore, my brethren, when you come together to eat, wait for one another (1 Cor 11.17-33). ...

The Eucharist was not called the Mass, but breaking of bread in memory of the gesture habitual and characteristic of Jesus This idea of sharing was so natural, almost automatic, for those who believed the body and blood spilled won Salvatore present in the Eucharist.
Jesus instituted the Eucharist that we become truly one with him, sacrificed, we share with all what is the bread and wine: food, joy, life ... It's easy to say it or write it. No doubt it also told the Corinthians, but did the opposite. There were the rich and the poor and (here is the grave) the poor were despised by the rich.
Paul does not blame the Corinthians for doctrinal errors. Accuses them of not understanding the social implications of communion. The rich Corinthian
believe they can receive with their poor brethren the body of Christ, while refusing to share with them their goods. But this is impossible.
The tenacity of resentment, rejection of sharing, self maintenance of privileges, cause a breakdown in communion with Christ and Christians. The non-sharing therefore leads to the contradiction at the heart of the sacrament.
S. Paul has pressed hard on an iron burning open wounds of the Corinthians ... and on our own.
S. John, who announced and commented on so long the bread of life (chap. 6), surprises us by its silence on the establishment of this sacrament. Even more surprising because it replaces the narration of the story with a shocking fact that the precise impact. Where does the true Eucharist?
Jesus washes the disciples' feet (Jn 13.1 to 17). Slave labor. Madness unthinkable.
Why not distorting the scope of the act, the consequences of the pulling Jesus himself: You call me Master and Lord, and rightly so I am. If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you ought to wash one another's feet. I have given you an example so as I did, you also should do. Verily, verily I say unto you servant is not greater than his master, nor are messengers greater than those who sent him. Knowing these things, blessed are you if you do them (Jn 13.13-17).
pay in person, in the most humble service, heavier, little or nothing flashy, this is allowed to live in themselves, in deed, the Christ that we ate, donated body and blood shed for all . It all means ... all!
The Evangelist Luke, after the institution of the Eucharist and the announcement of the betrayal of Judas (and thus in a particularly solemn and tragic) threw out the crime that explains the foot-washing even better record of John.
Jesus is the Servant announced by Isaiah (chapter 53).

* * * I give you a new commandment: love one another just as I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another (John 13:34-35).
This is my commandment: love one another as I have loved you. No one has greater love than to lay down his life for his friends. You are my friends if you do what I command you ... This I command you: love one another (Jn 15.12-17). This
duplicated one another so pounding and striking around the first table of the Eucharist, now bounce to us and to our Eucharist. We really love? Because this is a sign to know the true disciples of Jesus there's another one!
